Pit 2: Inappropriate temperature measurement point location
Multi parameter flow transmitters typically require pressure and temperature to participate in compensation calculations. If the temperature point is too far away from the measurement location or installed in a location with significant temperature changes, it will affect density compensation.
FAQ:
Temperature compensation lag;
Density calculation deviation;
The steam mass flow rate is either too high or too low.
Suggestion:
The temperature measurement point should be as close as possible to the flow measurement section, and the common installation location is within the range of about 2D-5D downstream of the flowmeter. The insertion depth of the temperature probe should be sufficient to avoid only measuring the temperature of the pipe wall.
It is recommended to follow the manufacturer's installation drawings for the specific installation location.
